i am doing a dance for a talent show at my school and the acts are about 2 minutes long and the song i am doing: glamorous by fergie is 4 minutes. how do i fade the music like how do i make it stop right at 2 minutes?

    You can find a program, such as Windows Movie Maker or Audacity, that you can use. Just take an mp3 and edit it. Then burn it onto a cd.

    Macs do this quite easily.

    Open GarageBand, then select a new song

    Open the Media window (bottom right) which will pull up music (your iTunes folder)

    From there, drag and drop the track into a layer. It will put the entire track on one “input part”.

    Unfortunately, here’s where Garage Band has a glitch. Figure out what part is around 2 minutes (by listening to the track), then at the top, adjust the volume for the layer to fade out (it will show a dot where it starts to fade, then another dot on the bottom of the line to show 0 volume)

    Hope this helps! I’ve used Garage Band to edit tracks for presentations, and it’s always worked out really well!
