I agree they were mates when they were kids, and formed a band in high school and coalesced in college. Thom Yorke started playing a guitar at age 7. They are on another level. Muse is just a fascimilie, albeit a good one.

i love both bands but you’re very wrong. Muse was formed in 94 while radiohead was formed in 85. I would consider that a pretty big discrepancy.

Actually Muse formed around the same time Radiohead started out. Shows what you know.

    Youcan laugh your spineless laugh.

P.S you can’t compare Muse, Coldplay to Radiohead. They are all different and should be indepndantly appreciated. I listen to all three and they all sound differenent. Sure, there are some similarities but you’d seriously have to be kidding yourself if you thought Muse or Coldplay were ripping off Radiohead.

    Three fantastic bands.

Sometimes I just wish I would forget all of their songs so that I could feel again that joy of discovering them.

I still remember the first time I’ve heared this song. I just stopped breathing. I think I looped it about 100 times :D

The thing I don’t like about Coldplay is that if you read the lyrics most of the songs are somewhat telling you to do things rather than telling a story or whatever. Such as “when you try and fix it” and things like that. Radiohead tells great stories in a free style sort of method. They do not try to impress too much, but rather just express. Therefore, I would say Radiohead is the best band.

After my first initial impulsive reaction, in retrospect, I realized the futility of argument. With that said, to clarify, Radiohead sounds very different from anyone else with the exception of bands who imitate their style and sound such as Muse, Coldplay, etc.

    So what…?
Elvis was first, and some people say he is still the best… It’s impossible to to compare lion and eagle. Both are beautiful and poweful creatures. Is this so important who was the first.

Radiohead came first, and way before.

I am sick about people who compare radiohead and muse, as if it was football match. Of course thera are a lot of similiar and different aspects, but for me the best thing I can do is to love them both.
