How can I share music from my desktop to my wireless laptop?

My cd burner quit working on my desktop but all my music is on my desktop. How can I get the music from my desktop on my laptop so I can burn some cd’s. Please explain the process step by step. Thank you.

    Well there are a LOT of variable’s to this question but I’ll do my best, assuming you already have a home network set up. First you need to go to the folder that holds your music, the one you want to share. Right click on it and select properties, there is a tab on the box that opens up called “sharing” click on this tab and click on the box that says “share this folder”. Click OK, or apply and exit out of there. Next, go to your laptop and open up “my network places”, you should see the folder you just shared out located there if you have a home network that is set up. I hope this works, based on the limited information that’s the best I can do. If it doesn’t, let us know what kind of network you are using, what operating systems are on both computers and some more details, anyway, hope this helped.

    Once you have the network set up with file sharing, you can go into the network folder, select your laptop, go into the public folder so you can paste all of your music in it. Once you have done that you will be able to access the music from both computers. If you want you can then cut and paste the music directly onto your laptop.

    Installed a car module php-5.2.9 (just started to learn php), and the server (Windows / Apache PHP5 (mod_php)) host uses a version 5.1.6. Q: Do I need to reinstall the php module to an older version, or should all work?
